The snow is beginning to fall again, in slow drifts, and the flurries melt when they kiss the glass, and it’s magical in a way Reki never imagined anything could be. He glances over at Langa, whose face is close enough that Reki can see the faded scarring on his cheeks, his pale lips with the cupid’s bow in the center that Reki has wanted, for so long, to kiss.
Langa has always been beautiful, but he looks the most beautiful to Reki when he has that wonder in his eyes, usually at S, and occasionally in the dusky sunset at DopeSketch or on the half-pipe at the skatepark. The way he looks up at the mountains makes Reki’s throat go dry.
He wants Langa to look at him that way.

ushijima had always been seen as alien to her friends and family, not able to subdue her blunt lonesome personality which drew insults whispering that she was rude and strange. she had never felt comfortable in her own skin, letting her soul float through life with nothing and no one important to tie her down, a drunken bachelorette party on the eve of her friends' wedding crashing beautifully into her unfulfilling existence. an otherworldly stripper grinned and greeted her before looking right through ushijima's dark eyes into her soul, ushijima staring in awe at the crimson-haired goddess as they locked eyes and she felt everything grow less painful. nothing would ever be easy again.

Akaashi didn’t really care about being sociable or making friends. He was in the archery club and a straight A student, but aside from that, his classmates knew barely anything about him, and he liked it that way. There was just one guy who refused to leave him alone, and Akaashi could guess why from the adoring look in his eyes when he talked to him.
Kuroo was a year younger than him, an underclassman who was also part of the archery club. He was really popular with girls and guys as far as Akaashi could tell, the annoying kind of guy who didn’t understand about needing to work hard for affection. Like moths to a flame, everyone was drawn to him.
The first time Akaashi had ever visited a friend’s house, it was Kuroo’s, who after weeks and weeks of invitations had finally been accepted. He had gone, a little begrudgingly and very unsure, a box of homemade cookies from his mother in his hand, but that was the last time he’d ever said no to Kuroo’s invites.
The reason was 39 year old Bokuto Koutaro. Kuroo’s adoptive father and, apparently, exactly Akaashi’s type.
