He trailed off, embarrassed by his suspicions. Aziraphale didn’t seem to notice. “She’s more than human.”
Crowley looked at him. “I thought I felt a flicker—this is going to sound mad, but I thought she performed those miracles, or whatever they were, in the park. It certainly wasn’t the archangel twins, and it wasn’t me. But she’s not an angel.” It went without saying that she wasn’t a demon.
Aziraphale’s face was doing something complicated. Trying to decide what to reveal, he guessed. He tried to keep any annoyance from his expression and was relieved when the angel decided on the truth. “She’s the Daughter of God, Crowley.”
Crowley’s mind blanked. Whatever he had suspected, his thoughts had never gone near this.

She just wants some sense of balance and stability, but at Lockwood and Co, that might never be the case.
It doesn't help that her boss is so damn gorgeous.

“Did you have a good rest last night Lucy?” Kipps inquired, obviously not understanding how things worked yet.
“Yes, did you?” George piped in, breaking with tradition and confusing Lucy enough for her to raise her head. For some reason both Kipps and George had suddenly straightened up and were staring directly at Lucy.
“It was fine?” Lucy replied.
“I bet it was.” George said, adjusting his glasses smugly. “I was kind of jealous; it looked very cozy. I ended up sleeping alone last night after Kipps took Lockwood’s cot.”
Lucy opened her mouth, but nothing came out. When it became obvious that nothing was going to come out, she shut it with as much grace as possible. This did not help with George and Kipps’s smirking problem.

Summary
Issues of coercion and sexual consent are at the forefront of Thomas Hardy’s Tess of the D’urbervilles: A Pure Woman Faithfully Presented, and the novel itself does not seem to present a solid conclusion on what exactly happened between Tess and Alec on the night that started her supposedly inevitable decline. Approaching the text from the viewpoint of modern feminist criticism and ideas about rape culture allows insights into Tess’s story that might not have been available to Hardy or his readers. I wrote this paper for a graduate class a few years ago.

This was not part of Draco Malfoy's plans. He did not expect this when he adjusted his cuff-links that morning before floo'ing to the Ministry. He has barely been at work for more than a couple of hours when he is summoned to St. Mungo's, as his friend's medical proxy. Sure, he learns that Theo will be just fine the moment he arrives, but he is still rather incensed because of Theo's carelessnes. And then he got lost in one of the wards, and grew less than impressed with the medical staff, but that is neither here nor there.
