“Do you play guitar?” Lance asks, holding up the pick.
“Yeah,” Keith replies.
“Are you good?”
“Yeah.”
“Are you just saying you’re good, or are you actually good?”
“Actually good,” Keith says defensively. “And why do you care anyway?”
Lance narrows his eyes at him. “I don’t know if I believe you.”
“I’ll prove it,” Keith says before he can think.
(High school marching band/Battle of the Bands AU. Keith is the new kid, Lance is trying to prove himself, Pidge is a musical prodigy, Hunk’s tired of stereotypes, Shiro and Allura are just trying to get people to stop calling them ‘Mom’ and ‘Dad’, and Bruce Springsteen is still the Boss. Don’t ask about the lions.)

Summary
After Keith and Shiro are taken hostage for their father's loyalty to Empress Allura... a lot of bizarre things start to conspire. They are forced to live as guests in the royal palace, and are subjected to the affectionate stares of Allura's brother, Lance. If that wasn't weird enough, Lance's nymphal genes start to wreck havoc on his life. Lance had always been prone to falling in and out of love, but he had never crashed so hard. His daily reveries are filled with thoughts of Keith, the youngest son of Zarkon who was known for being The Most Beautiful Man Alive. The nymph in Lance wants nothing more than to fall in love with and be loved by Keith Kogane, but there's no way he can do that, especially when his nymphal genes start to backfire.
Lance becomes legitimately lovesick, and the only cure is to confess his love, and have it returned. But how can he do that when even his illusions of Keith are telling him not to?

Summary
Pidge is still close —closer than is entirely comfortable if he has to be honest— giving him an evaluating glance. Lance doesn’t really know where to look, other than up her nose— but that grows old pretty fast. So he looks at himself in the reflection of her glasses. And squints.
He touches his own face for the first time since waking up— and feels the roughness of his chin.
“I have stubble,” he says, and the words are as alarmed as they can be even though they still sound slightly slurred, slightly off.
Pidge blinks a couple of times at him, and finally retracts into a more comfortable distance.
“Well, yeah,” she says. “You are like, what? 22? 23 in a couple of months?”
“I’m feeling— I’m feeling a little queasy,” he says then, with bright spots of color dancing in front of his eyes as he thinks 22.
Suddenly, a bucket gets shoved against his face. He takes hold of it with clammy fingers and he leans on his side so he can... use it. Thoroughly.
“I’m having Garrison flashbacks,” he hears Pidge say.
(Or: Lance is stung by an alien bug, loses his memories temporarily and makes assumptions about his and Keith's relationship. Also, Pidge cheats at Uno.)

Summary
Keith is trying to make himself smaller, to bury his head deeper in his knees, and Lance’s heart freezes in his chest. Anger dissipating like an exploded firework, Lance lets his hand fall limply to his side, mind blurring with static. When he tries to speak, nothing comes out but a choked noise, so he tries again.
“Keith,” he breathes. “Keith I’m not going to hurt you.”
(Keith has an abusive past, but with time and care Lance helps him become accustomed to positive touch.)

Summary

Summary
Phil seriously needs to buy some allergy medicine or something. Or at least open a window next time he performs a demonic ritual. He wouldn't have thought that one little sneeze could've messed up a spell so bad, but now he has a demon on his hands and only six days to get rid of it before he's stuck with it forever.
...And maybe the demon is acting like a total cinnamon roll, but Phil is positive that it's all just an elaborate ruse.
