They’re leaning against a tree, a few feet away, flicking a lighter on and off while they wait. Sebastian can’t help but let out a quiet sigh. He approaches, watching as his.. friend of sorts smiles as he gets closer.

His mother gave him a heart and then she took it away and that was the first time he realised that not being empty is a privilege reserved for humans and gods and that he will never be able to become either.

Horrifyingly, the next thing that comes out of Wanderer’s mouth is, “Where have you been staying then?”
“Here and there,” Kazuha muses, looking up at the sky. The sun is coming down hard and Wanderer can see the bottom of his smile like this. “Why?” he inquires, a teasing glint to his eyes when he meets his gaze again. “Are you offering?”
“No,” Wanderer snips and turns around, successfully ending this conversation by walking away.
