Summary
The outer banks are a paradise. From the moment the sun rises from the distant waves and sets behind an acreage of willow trees and marshes, the outer banks are practically mythical. Even the rundown, falling apart, low country-esque parts of the landscape attract such rapt attention. There’s such a rich history to the banks as well, all the more reason so many visitors are fascinated with the place. From ghost tales of sickened fishermen, to alluring claims of sunken treasure, whatever you can think of, can be found on those disconnected coastlines.
That is, until a suspected murder shows up one sunny afternoon, thrusting the outer banks and its residents into a missing persons case, a legendary treasure hunt, and the rewriting of island history as they know it. And at the center of it all, is the Pelides mansion.

Two horses are absent from the Phthian stables that morning. Patroclus had always loved riding, it was calming to him in the way nothing else was. It was only inevitable that he teach his daughter how to ride too. She giggles like air when she feels the horse move underneath her tiny frame. She has the same laugh he did, back when my father taught us both, as boys of just ten, how to ride his prized stallions.
They reach the beach late that morning. That’s when she asks him about me.

A complete re-write of Stardust Crusaders, based on an off-hand thought I had; what if Jotaro had learned to stop time much earlier in their adventure, before his final confrontation with Dio? An exploration of how things may have gone differently. Also an excuse for me to rehash and go through my favorite stories and expand on ideas I really enjoyed. My love letter to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders.
Also, yes, every chapter will be named after another Def Leppard song. Fight me.
