The ending was terrible.
Everyone said it.
Bill watches the cursor blink at the end of the sentence. No punctuation, holding the end of the story hostage until he finds how to piece the confetti strands of storylines into a neat, satisfying present.
He chews on twisted clippy part of his Sharpie, almost worn enough to break off between his teeth. His fingers run over all the Post-Its sticking out of the pages in the Losers’ copy of the manuscript. Bill folds up Mike’s note in his hand, the little yellow crumpled up thing with 'i don’t like the pacing here' scribbled in slanted, messy cursive. He throws it on the table beside his Scotch. His hand shakes when he picks up the glass and takes a long, burning glug.
“Okay,” Bill sighs, setting his trembling fingers to the keys. “Here we go.”
The rewrite is due in twenty four hours.

Summary
Because Peter's a coward, he's left the fresh Anthony Stark AI 3.1.1 unused for an entire week. Every boot up, Karen asks if he'd like to switch out and he ends up rambling about how much he appreciates everything she does for him and apologizing for ever giving the impression that he's ungrateful at like the worst possible moment. It's embarrassing.

Security had been a comfort Foggy underappreciated over the years. He woke up to a bright, dependable sun. Sometimes dew would stick to the greenery, other times it'd be beautiful, pristine frost. The best days were late December icicles reaching for the snow from atop the barren trees. Sue him, Foggy loved that cheesy shit. Every day, the sun rose, and every night, it set. The conditions may change, but the pieces of the setting never changed. On Saturdays, his mother left a voicemail if he happened to sleep through her call, otherwise, Foggy woke to shallow, comforting familial gossip. Occasionally, his sister might hop on the line. Once or twice his niece, those days were some of his favorite. Work was the most tumultuous aspect of his life: Nelson and Murdock operated day by day, case by case, sometimes without a Murdock, sometimes without a Page. Someone, however, was always there. One or both of his best friends showed up to work in (overall) good health throughout the week.
Security had been a comfort burned to a pile of ashes by the Devil of Hell's Kitchen in one fell swoop.
But life goes on.
