Mike studied him fiercely from his desk at the front of the room. He was small (even smaller than Mike, which was really saying something) with a chestnut bowl cut and a tired-looking jacket hanging loosely over his thin frame. He looked like he was folding in on himself as he stood before the class, like the embarrassment was eating a cavity inside him.
Mike knew exactly how that felt…to be so desperate to hide.
