It's a quiet night at TV World.
Tenna doesn’t know why exactly he still lingers there, at that small, dark, lonely, corner of Ramb's bar, but perhaps it has something to do with the little figure that shifts in the corner of his eyes, an oddly specific-looking hallucination (judging by the way neither Ramb nor his companion pays it any mind) with green fabric draped along their shoulders.Tenna doesn’t think he can forget the little charade they’d played for him those last few years. Nor the mysterious circumstances that surrounded their death.
So when the literal ghost of the past looks up to meet his eyes, he can’t help but approach, curious surprise coursing through his antennae.

Summary
He'd stood out from every other Pippins for as long as he could remember, for better or for worse. Not just physically, what with the green eyes and everything; but even his personality didn't quite match up with the rest.
Where they'd be tossing thousands of dollars into blind boxes and gacha machines, he'd be trying to design his own clothes or learn a new skill. Where they'd be selling illegal merchandise and getting tossed behind bars, he'd be doing the best he could to scrape by using, to everyone else, "strangely" legal means. Where they'd be crafting money-making schemes, he'd be stringing together new information to try and understand these asinine Worlds they lived in that nobody else seemed to question other than him.
Really, why WAS he the only one like this? Every other Pippins was exactly the same. Every other Pippins had red eyes. Was there something wrong with him?
Or, my take on how the green Pippins fell into the role of Mike.

Im not free right now, and when I am i hope to pour my heart out completely about just how magical this fic felt to read so far, but this is seriously some GOOD FUCKING SHIT. Thanks fo the winter newslettsr, ive been more interested in the pent up rage battat may have accumlated from just working under tenna. The way this fic explores and executes his anger here is just CHEFS KISS. also im definitely sick in the head and just love battat berating tenna ok lets forget i said that. Its such a horrible and tragic clash; Battat, voice of reason, cant get it through Tenna thick skull(casing?) that hes way too self absorbent that he cant see just how his selfishness affects others under him. He is Textbook definition of a horrible boss.... Tenna's selfishness makes him zone in on only the things he could ever care about (the show, mike, the dreemurrs and his image and so on) That even when its being told straight into his face he ignores it like dirt on the floor . And thats so painful, because he clearly does want the best for the people cares about, in this case its Mike, that he doesbt realize want Mike truly wants.
And, OP? I know its a touchy subject, but i am so glad you explore the topic of a internalized homophobic tenna. I honestly agree with the sentiment, despite the game noooott reallyyy going for it? (other than the "visit" point you brought up in the notes, that was a good point! i never considered it) I think it really fits for this context and im happy its what was written . :)
I say this, and mention Tenna's dilemma, because it honestly hits quite close to home. Im all too familiar of a selfish person only wanting to give the best to only what they care about, ignoring anything else. Someone who cannot see beyond the pristine walls they built up, content with lingering in fbe faux haven for as long as they possibly can. A liiiiittle dramatic but i really, really truly love Tenna's character in this, and how unfortunate it is for him to face Battat's (warranted) wrath.
Theres more id love to say and theres definitely typos but im going to stop here to get some sleep. I love this. So. So . Mucb. Good night -
