Summary
It was one fateful, rainy evening that Aventurine walked into an unknown coffee shop. It was late, he needed something to help him get through the night's work... And it turned out that his caffeine came with something he hadn't realized he needed: lectures, banter, and real, genuine companionship. In short, it was Dr. Veritas Ratio that he'd really needed.

Summary
In a Penacony that has seen its last vampire purges many years ago, the vampiric race is long believed to be extinct, completely eradicated. Unbeknownst to its human inhabitants, few vampires still remain even to this day, inconspicuously blending in with society. Aventurine—a young vampire and second year Finance student at Paperfold University—is the perfect example, living a peaceful, average student-life. That is, until one night a small oversight on his part causes him to be caught by a bright-haired Medicine student with a surprisingly sharp tongue, irrevocably intertwining their paths.
OR
Modern Paperfold University AU in which Aventurine, a young vampire, gets caught by Ratio, and all due chaos ensues.

“‘What’s on your mind, then? You only get quiet like this when you’re in pain or your mind is elsewhere.’
Phainon chuckles. ‘Right. Well… Sometimes I just remember some things clearer than others. Sometimes it’s all the fun we had even on harsher missions and the time together in between, other times it’s all the killing and dying… But there’s one memory that’s been playing in my mind today. One you might remember, too.’
‘Oh?’
‘Cycle 2691.’
‘...I’m afraid you’ll have to specify for me. I can’t remember by number…’
‘You really are terrible with numbers,’ Phainon teases.
‘HKS,’ Mydei mutters.
‘It’s the one where we nearly reached Era Nova… together.’”Or:
A look into Phainon and Mydei’s lives in the Eternal Page, and their hopes to remain at each others’ sides beyond it.
