Summary
Natasha Romanov is the newest student in a not so new town. She's spent half her life hanging around Marvel. Every summer since she turned two as a matter of fact. When her father decides it's time to for her to settle into a normal high school for her remaining two years, Natasha reconnects with old friends, crazy relatives, and meets a few new faces. Riding the high of her newfound friends, Natasha isn't prepared for her life to be suddenly shrouded by darkness.
Loki Silver has spent his entire life keeping to the shadows. He doesn't mind a bit of mischief but he certainly doesn't appreciate the attention his antics generally bring. His only goal is to get through his last two years of high school and then get as far from Marvel as possible. However he isn't prepared for his life to suddenly take on a little light. After all, when you live life in the dark even the smallest amount of light is blinding.

Summary
Sequel to "More Than This".
Though the Mighty Nein were able to restore Caleb's mind, the brand on his forehead betrays the other scars he still carries from his ordeal. As the Empire's policy of punishing "unauthorized mages" by branding their flesh and breaking their minds becomes more widespread, Caleb finds himself struggling beneath the feelings of fear and violation that he was never truly able to address before.
He turned aside from retribution once already in the hopes of keeping his friends safe from the falling hammer, but the Mighty Nein have grown stronger since the tower fell. Mollymauk seeks to encourage him towards the idea that the time to strike back might be fast approaching. And perhaps, in the light of a corrupt institution burning down, Molly and Caleb might finally find their way together.

Caleb was laying, limp like a doll, on Beau’s back. Molly was reluctantly impressed that she’d seemingly carried him all the way back here. Overshadowing that, however, was the concern for their wizard. Caleb looked like he’d narrowly escaped a house-fire. His face was covered in soot and dried tear tracks ran down his ash-stained cheeks. He was pale as a ghost and even in unconsciousness, he seemed to tremble faintly. Molly couldn’t tell if that was from exhaustion, terror or an overuse of magic, though. Maybe even all three.
Or: After the fight with the Volstrucker, everyone is exhausted. Molly helps in any way they can.
