After getting injured in a grueling fight, Robin wakes up in a world where the Justice League never existed. In their place stands a group of relaxed, wanna-be superheroes named the Avengers, and he's stuck with them until they can find a way to send him home. One thing's for sure though. This ain't Gotham, and he is so not whelmed.

Bruce and Dick shared a long look. Perhaps to the others in the room, it was a fast, indecipherable look, but Damian caught the pull of Dick's mouth and the tightness to his father's jaw. However, it was Bruce that said "Red Hood and Red Robin."
Damian's eyes widened.
Grayson was as good as dead.
Or the one where Dick's brothers manage to royally piss off an ancient deity that sends them careening through memories he'd rather they didn't see.

Summary
Richard Grayson was born to fly. He loved to fly; he loved to entertain and see the smiles of the crowd. He flew until his parents’ wings were mercilessly clipped, and Dick was caged somewhere new and unfamiliar.
Gotham was a depressing and gloomy place full of depressing and gloomy people. At the ripe age of eight, he had to learn how to fight just to survive; it was a sudden and jarring change that Dick had no choice but to adapt to.
Despite the bad, he grew to call Gotham home. He made friends and acquired a (not-so-legal) job that allowed him to help other kids like him, kids with no one and nowhere to go.
He was surviving moment by moment, but he had his best friend by his side, and he was finally getting close to getting revenge on the man who killed his parents.
When another unexpected tragedy breaks the fragile life he had managed to cobble together, he finds himself on the run from the cops, his employer, and — most unfortunately — the Bats.
