It seemed standard, but there was a handwritten note at the bottom in addition. "Tenant must be available for the Landlord's needs when requested." I wasn't quite sure what that meant in the moment, but I so badly needed this place, so I signed it.
The first official request pops up in less than a week via text. The message read, "Come home, now." I arrived home to find her in my living room, drinking one of my wines from one of my glasses. She waits no further, instructing me to stand in front of her. Her rough hands force me down to my knees. "This is our agreement. You wanted a place to live, so this is what you'll take."
