It is hardly a reach to claim this is the Thieves Den’s treasure. Joker, as infamous a croupier as the game he runs. When people speak in hushed tones of the Thieves Den, it is always with Joker’s name upon their lips.
“Have you heard”, they’d say, eyes burning bright with the fervor of the damned, “of the game of Heart’s Desire and its dealer?”
A game where one could bet their greatest ambition and find it granted if they win, no matter how absurd it seemed to be.

A (very belated) contribution to the Persona 5 Monster Mash Gift Exchange, dedicated to misdirections!
As it turns out early on, Joker's Metaverse comrades can achieve Sub-Personas of their own, able to carry one (though ONLY one) companion to keep their primary Personas company. And early on, as Kamoshida's putrid castle is quietly ransacked by the phantom-thieves-to-be, Panther finds a friend for Carmen and she.
It takes some doing to thwart a beautiful succubus's magic and acting (not much the latter, given how obvious the theatrics are), but Ann finds another companion to train with and learn from, and she's not letting her be replaced for a long while!
So fast forward to September, when Mr. Okumura's heart has been stolen, and his daughter of a new secret Phantom Thief helps Panther chase down a cunning "Legion" Shadow and their kidnapped friends...

It was stupid to be nervous. He’d locked the door immediately at ten p.m., so it wasn’t like there was a lingering surprise customer knocking shit off the shelves. It must have been resting on the edge and lost the fight to gravity. A reasonable explanation. He knelt down to pick it up and paused with his hand hovering over the cover. His fingers trembled slightly as he read the title.
