In art, chiaroscuro (From Italian, lit. 'light-dark') is the use of strong contrasts between light and dark, usually bold contrasts affecting a whole composition.
After the endless searching, the fated reunion does not go as planned. Revelry gives way to lonely melodies as the most important memories remain adrift in Deepspace, beyond the boundary of light and dark.
One is fated to devour the other, but not until her power find its full force. For the one inextricably bound, cultivating her aether is self-completion and self-destruction.

This is a Sylus POV work covering their early relationship after Long Awaited Revelry. It's canon-complaint (to the best of my ability) though I've taken some liberties to fill in the blanks, including expanding on some of the headcanon established in Cosmic Interlude, which covers the time from Beyond Cloudfall to Long Awaited Revelry, and my Sylus POV version of Long Awaited Revelry.
