Summary
The first time Tooru sees Iwaizumi drunk, it’s a Friday during the off-season when he’s sitting on Iwaizumi’s second-hand sofa with a bottle of subpar beer in his hand and a cheese pizza on the coffee table.
It’s shocking, actually, that it’s taken all of twenty-two years for Tooru to finally see his boyfriend drunk. So shocking that he has to set his beer down when Iwaizumi slides up next to him, leaning in close, cheeks ruddy and mouth wet from the alcohol.
It’s shocking, and totally not what Tooru would have expected—
Because when Iwaizumi is drunk, he’s apparently clingy.

“It’s Friday,” Eijun says. “I only get to see you on the weekends and you’re doing homework, Miyuki Kazuya. Homework. Instead of… other things.”
Kazuya laughs, something soft and private, and his eyes twinkle behind his glasses. Eijun has always loved Kazuya’s eyes. They’re sweet and golden like warmed honey, framed by long lashes that hit the lenses of Kazuya’s glasses if he pushes the frames up too high on the bridge of his nose. And his eyebrows—don’t even get Eijun started on Kazuya’s eyebrows.
“Other things, huh?” Kazuya teases, letting Eijun haul him into bed. He collapses down next to Eijun and tugs at the blanket, sliding up against him. “What other things are you thinking about, huh?”

Kazuya is pouting. He knows he is. It’s just - he hates flying. He particularly hates flying during the busiest flight weekend of the year. Flying makes him anxious, because it’s an entire plane taking off from the ground -
And his whole world is going to be on that plane.
If something goes wrong, no matter how unlikely that might be, then Eijun and Kiki and Chio -
“Hey,” Eijun says, suddenly close, scooping Kiki out of Kazuya’s arms to set her on her feet, keeping hold of her hand. “It’s gonna be fine, Miyuki Kazuya,” he assures, bumping his shoulder into Kazuya’s with a reassuring smile. “Trust me.”
Kazuya inhales deeply.
Trusting Eijun is something Kazuya doesn’t have to think twice about doing.

Kazuya feels hot. He’s 90% sure it’s not the tequila. He’s 100% sure Sawamura doesn’t look hot because of the tequila, either. Because he’s always hot. That’s the problem.
“Miyuki Kazuya!” Sawamura says, exasperated. “Focus!”
“I am, I am.” Kazuya waves their laced hands together, nearly knocking his elbow into the corner of the table. “I’m always focused on you. How’m I s’posed to think of anything else around you?”
Kazuya gets a little too drunk to pay attention to what he's saying, but honestly, it's not like he was doing a good job of hiding his feelings from Sawamura anyway.
