“I'm sorry Ao’nung, I'm sorry,” Neteyam said desperately, rushing to his side. He grabbed his face in both hands and then turned it from side to side, checking for injuries. Ao’nung leaned into the touch, letting out a breath of air as he focused on the boy's calloused fingers, brushing over his skin.
“Sorry for being so pretty, forest boy?” Ao’nung said in a wobbly voice.
“How hard did you hit your head?” Neteyam asked in alarm, still checking for external injuries.
“I didn't hit my head, I hit my heart.”
“What?”
“I hit my heart and now there is a you shaped hole where it used to be.”
Neteyam scrambled to his feet and backed away, a look of horror spreading across his face. Ao’nung stood, then followed Neteyam as he receded into the trees.
“I'm in love with you.”

Prison is a nice place to live if one knows how to keep the rats at bay. Growing up on the streets of Zaun, you know how to spread poison and take a few hits, but giving up your freedom just like that is not on your bucket list. All the better for your plan to reshuffle your cards when a new inmate is transferred to the lower levels of Stillwater Hold prison. She's out for blood. And you are in need of a distraction.
