When Hakuryuu arrived at Sindria, he was expecting a lot of things.. but none that meant reuniting with his childhood best friend, you. Turns out, the past isn’t as far away as it seems, so while you are undoubtedly the best of it- nothing comes without its opposite. (In this case; the opposite is blinding trauma and its resulting trust issues.. ouch.)
Or; Hakuryuu reunites with his childhood friend, and despite all that has changed between you two, you still find love- angsty romance ensues.

You were just trying to do your job. You really didn’t mean to propose to a selkie. There was no way you could’ve known. So when he starts trying to court you- (dumping things from the beach on your front porch), you’re clueless. And when he starts to show up everywhere- (showing up at your work, trying to start conversations, while you’re working), you’re clueless. And when he finally breaks and says it to your face- (gets drunk and refuses to go with anyone but you, sobbing)- well, you’re a little less clueless then.
Or; Selkie AU where you have no idea you’ve gone and married yourself to Seokjin but- maybe it’s not quite as bad as you’re worried it might be.
