Summary
“I like it,” Keith blurts, practically signing off the measurements of his coffin with how straightforward that feedback is.
Lance’s head swiftly tips downward to finally look at Keith. His face is the shell of a reaction, toeing between something wild and something passive. A few locks of hair swing down and hang loose along the edge of his forehead, kind of like Allura’s doll-like ringlets that dance around with every expressive motion she makes. The overhead light is barely obscured from Keith’s view by his friend’s towering figure, and it’s almost like Lance is simultaneously both something nostalgic and completely foreign.
“You do?” Lance asks with a genuine curious lilt. His knuckles shift anxiously against the seams of the shorts’ pockets.
“Yeah.”
Keith can’t take his eyes off Lance.
Or: 3 times Keith was struck dumb by Lance’s beauty and 1 time he didn’t just stare.

Summary
“Almost three movements ago the Galra tested a new weapon they have been building with the resources our planet has to offer. Sehiri has been completely cut off from any sort of communication. None of us can leave.” She sighs, at least Keith thinks she does. “Seeing you here means our distress signal has not left the planet.”
Keith’s stomach seizes.
“It is not safe for anyone here right now.”
His chest tightens.
He’s not sure the words are registering correctly.
OR: After a mission goes wrong and leaves Keith injured, he’s demoted to working as a cargo pilot for the time being.
Finding himself stranded on a remote planet with no way out was not how he expected it to go.

Summary
The helmet was taken off in one smooth pull and Leandro’s retort dried up on his tongue.
Akira’s helmet hid….a lot.
Like the shock of snow white hair that was half up, half curled around his shoulders as long, choppy bangs fell gently over his forehead. They almost obscured the annoyance that reflected in eyes the color of dusk from a rooftop and thick eyebrows furrowed, contorting an unfairly symmetrical face into a grimace that only further accentuated his handsome-scratch that-beautiful features. Leandro’s eyes, raked over the long tan scar that started from the bottom of Akira’s left cheek and ended just below his eye, an unnatural marker of some past struggle that shocked Leandro with such a powerful wave of familiarity, he could feel his body start to sway.
Swords clanging in dim hallways, lips pressed to healing skin, fingers brushing hair back, ocean salt and wildfire, red and blue-
The last thing saw before falling forward was Akira’s gorgeously angry expression quickly shift into one of concern as he ran forward to catch Leandro’s collapsing form.

Summary
Maybe it was a slip of the tongue, or an accidental admission after one too many beers, because Nursey doesn’t hear Dex compliment anybody else.
Nursey isn’t sure why he’s - so far - the exception.
(Or, Dex doesn’t compliment anyone. Except Nursey.)
