Summary
When Edward touches him, the world lights on fire. There is nothing else to worry about when those long, slender fingers are caressing his skin. Intimacy is so foreign to him, that the prospect of being touched by another man never crossed his mind. Everything in his life happens fast enough to bruise and hard enough to break him so Oswald longs for the roughest touches, the kind that stains his ivory skin for weeks and will eventually drive him insane but it’s not like that, not with Edward. He is so gentle and careful with his touches, always so casual about it. It comes naturally out of him, like the first words slipping out of a child’s mouth. It’s so organic, so sympathetic that Oswald refuses to believe he does it with any intentions of hurting him at all. And Edward might fake it every time, but Oswald is a customary liar, so as long as he believes in the truthfulness of Edward’s touch, it will be honest.
