Last week, they were a family of two, scoping out a potential ally, and in line to recieve the ten thousand creds they needed to proceed with the next stage of their plans. Then Juno walks into the Martian desert, Vespa walks back into Buddy's life, Rasbach walks out with their ten thousand creds, and all they have to their name is a hovercycle, an old bar with radiation leaks in the ceiling, and a lot of catching up to do.

The crew of the Carte Blanche was about halfway through the third installment of the Super Loan Sharks: Loan Sharks That Wear Little Suits And It’s Super series when the pile of blankets that somewhere, somehow, contained Rita slumped over and onto Juno’s leg, thoroughly trapping it.
Juno assumed the same rule that applied to dogs, cats, and non-venomous rabbits applied to former secretaries as well, and got ready to be stuck for the rest of the evening.

He wishes he could say he doesn’t remember his exact words, but he does; he may not comb through them often, but the archives of his memory are seamless. Juno had snarled and Nureyev had snapped and at the end the words had tumbled out, crystalline and biting, Then why don’t you leave again, detective, seems that’s all you’re good for—leaving us behind!
