George had heard many praises and good things about Hogwarts; The school is absolutely stunning, and you’ll learn loads of things, Georgie from his sister, and You have to join Quidditch, it’s the only entertainment and the only way to get a free pass from bashing someone’s head in, by his brother.
He had many good impressions of the school. His sister and brother had enjoyed the train ride to Hogwarts as well, so he expected it to go well.
Except. It didn’t, really.

Logan pulls his dinner plate from the table and grabs a tissue to wipe it. There hasn’t been water and electricity for days. “Texas. You could walk for miles on a highway and never meet an exit. I’m betting America isn’t even having much of a problem dealing with the pandemic right now.”
“If we make it out alive, we should get a burger and steak together. Find the best American barbecue and go ham.” Alex suggests. It’s mostly wishful thinking.
“We better dial in then. Last one to the border needs to pay up.” Logan jokes along, and they chuckle humorlessly, before he pushes the dinner plate onto the countertop and walks away.

“Stop fucking with me.” Eita snickered. “I saw you guys chatting along while I was receiving my trophy. What an asshole he is, isn’t he?” He said to Yuki, pointing to Karasu. “Not even celebrating his own best friends’ win.”
“First, it wasn’t a win.” Karasu snorted, sipping on his affogato. “Second, I know you didn’t check twitter because a thousand tweets exploded about your podium.”
“Let a man live.” Eita bit into his pizza, folding the two ends together and sandwiching the ingredients. “And I was on twitter, except all I saw was tweets congratulating you and Yukimiya.”
A rush of warmth coursed through Yuki’s body. “It was a miracle at Baku.” He laughed.
“Nah, it was skill. Fate said, ‘Fuck the regulars on the podium’ and threw Rin and Isagi out.” Eita said bluntly, to which they all erupted into laughs at that.

Yukimiya choked on his saliva.“At least I have a better game,” Otoya huffed. “What a loser.”
“How am I the loser, ya fuckin’ cheated on ya latest girlfriend-“
“What?” Yukimiya interrupted.
“Eita cheated on his girlfriend,” Karasu said with a snigger and Eita scoffed.
“She wasn’t even that interesting, it’s valid.” He muttered.
“It is not valid whatsoever!” Yukimiya replied with dismay.
“Yeah, maybe you’re gay, man.” Karasu grinned.
“Yeah, for Yuki, definitely not for you.” Eita joked, and Karasu looked offended while Yukimiya raised his eyebrows.
