Summary
“You should bring your Maker here,” Wulfric says. The sun is low in the sky, shading towards dusk. “To meet my Companion. It would do him good, I think. He is lonely, that is what drew me from his heart in the first place, and while he says I am all he needs, I know it for a lie.”
Pin considers this. Is Occtis lonely? It’s true that he seems to have few friends that he has seen, save for Thaisha, who had called Pin “the cutest abomination of nature” that she had ever laid eyes on, which had caused Occtis to chuckle. “I can try,” is what he finally says. “But he usually stays in cities.”
“And Kattigan rarely leaves the forest,” Wulfric says. “Still.” He lays his muzzle briefly on Pin’s back. “You are welcome here, with or without the one who made you.

Summary
The wolf is watching him, as if it's taking stock of Eddie's every move.
"Well, I'm gonna go my way, and you're gonna stay right there," Eddie says, holding his arm up, palm facing the big animal, and the wolf whines in a way that almost sounds like he's disagreeing petulantly with this command.
Eddie smiles, even if he's still a little terrified, "You don't want me to hang around. I'll cramp your style. Lay down."
And the wolf starts to do just that. Big body folding down into itself.
"That's a good boy. You're very pretty, you know?" Eddie asks. And it is a pretty animal. Lean muscle, wrapped in what he assumes is a heavy coat of soft fur.
He'd like to pet him.
That's how he'll die someday. Petting something he had no business touching. He's sure of it.

Summary
“What about your pack?” Steve asks, because, well—
Werewolves are social creatures. Humans may not be right about the specific dynamics, the leaders and the runts and pack structures, but they got the general idea right. The idea that wolves have a distinct need for life, to be surrounded by it, sustained by it. There is no point in running beneath the glow of a full moon without people you trust. People who understand what it's like.
“Don’t have one,” Eddie replies stiffly. “Don’t need one. I have my uncle. And my friends. Even though they’re human, they help with the whole socialization thing.”
He’s a lone wolf, Steve realizes.
That’s the smell that rolls off of Eddie Munson in irrepressible waves: it’s loneliness.

Summary
For a moment, Jasper wonders why exactly he has never fed from a human before. The blood is warm in his mouth, and as it dissipates within him his heart pounds against his ribcage -- a sensation he barely remembers anymore -- and it's as he pulls away for a moment and swallows the Beast once more down to the depths of his very being that it responds in an echoing cacophony of frenzied greed and desire:
Because no other human could taste this good.
during a frenzied moment of weakness, jasper breaks his only rule and does something he has never done before: he feeds from a mortal.

Summary
“Y’know, I think I’d remember Eddie Munson being on my sidelines.”
When asked about the interaction later, he’d have no possible explanation for his bravado. Whether it was the pregame, the drinks he’d had in his hands since he’d arrived, or simply the pure adrenaline of looking up at those sweet puppy dog eyes, Eddie wasn’t sure. Whatever it was that allowed him to stay put despite the burn to run and hide likely came from the warmth that radiated from that smile.
or, Eddie Munson finally runs into fraternity legend Steve Harrington and is pleasantly surprised by the outcome.
