Summary
Lexa Woods is a wealthy, successful, self-proclaimed player, who has everything she needs, or so she thinks. After she befriends a stranger, who later reveals herself to be an angel, rewards Lexa with a glimpse of an alternate life, where she is married to Clarke Griffin and has two beautiful children with her, 5 years old Madi and 2 years old Aden. Lexa navigates this new life with as much grace as a bull in a China shop, but she eventually gets it right and learns what it really means to love and be part of a family.

Lexa hadn't been doing a very good job of hiding the fact that she's been blazing a trail through the girls in their senior class, and that definitely wasn't the kind of attention she should be drawing to herself.
Clarke was certain Lexa's parents had given her the same speech she'd gotten from her mom about "fitting in" and not drawing attention to their more wolfish qualities.
If they were going to attend a human high school, it was essential that they blend in.
And as Clarke well knew, as all werewolves knew, flaunting their wolfish sex appeal risked attracting the attention of the villagers with their pitchforks, and provoking the endless moralizing that humans used to justify their prejudices and mask their jealousy.
Every little misstep from Lexa felt like a personal slight. A risk that they would be outed to their classmates. And the last thing anyone needed was for the people in this town to discover that they were just miles away from two giant werewolf clans.

Clarke became Skykru’s ambassador 8 months ago, when they’d joined the coalition. Since then, she’s been learning the ropes, proving herself to the other ambassadors … and apologizing for her people’s occasional acts of petty foolishness. But when she wasn’t doing those things, Clarke was crushing hard on the commander … and deeply regretting the opportunity she’d passed up months ago to be with Lexa - the hottest person she had ever seen, probably the hottest person in their entire post-apocalyptic world - because their timing had been off by a few weeks. If only she hadn’t held a knife to Lexa’s throat that one time. Or spit in Lexa’s face that other time. Or screamed at Lexa that she was a bitch, and then heavily implied that she was a bunch of times after that …
God … if only Clarke had a time machine …
And now … well, Clarke wasn’t sure how long was an appropriate amount of time to wait between holding a knife to someone’s throat and asking that person out. But an old Grounder ritual might just give her an opportunity to make up for lost time …
