Summary
Whale Island has never felt so small and isolated as right then, standing next to Aunt Mito’s letterbox holding a postcard from someone he’s suddenly not sure he’ll see again for a very long time.
After parting with Killua at the World Tree, Gon returns to Whale Island, weighed down with regrets. Sporadic postcards from afar are now his only connection to his best friend, fragile threads stretching across the vast distance as he tries to untangle what Killua truly means to him. As he drifts in the ache of separation and an uncertain future, darkness stirs on the horizon and threatens to draw them back together - whether they are ready or not.
My attempt to fill in the gaps for Gon and Killua between the World Tree and the Black Whale, with some creative liberties taken!

Summary
When Killua runs away from the Zoldyck family a second time and reports their abuse to the police, they use their influence to have him committed to a mental ward under the guise of schizophrenia. When Gon crashes a car with Kite in it, killing Kite and injuring himself, he can't climb out of his guilt, even without being able to remember the accident. They meet at Desert Bloom recovery center, where, in the company of therapist Leorio Paladiknight, Nurse Bisky Krueger, and patient Kurapika Kurta, they begin to change each other- and maybe heal a little.
Is it okay to love someone, even when you don’t love yourself?

Summary
Killua hates the cold. He knows it’s dumb and he’s sure there’s a cliche in there somewhere, but being cold fucking sucks and there’s nothing in the world that can get him out of bed on days where it’s cold enough for snow to stick to the ground and ice to freeze over every road.
Well. There is a someone that can.
He supposes that right there is his cliche.

Summary
In Killua’s backpack, he had a half-eaten box of gourmet chocolates, home baked bread, a thermos of herbal tea, freshly laundered clothes, and a folded up drawing: a picture he’d drawn of himself, alone and prepared for the worst, that Gon had graffitied his own likeness onto, smiling and bright and colorful.
Gon changed how Killua experienced the world. He made the impossible real. Maybe Killua could make the impossible real too.
On the run from his family, Killua is struggling with a few things: figuring out his sisters’ powers, relying on others, harnessing lightning, getting a full night’s sleep, and pining after Gon Freecss. Eventually, his resolve breaks, and Whale Island calls.
