Dazai Osamu is a well-known detective in the lonesome streets of Clatford, only a misfortune that led him to being fired from the agency he worked for - to switch up careers and become a true crime podcaster only for his ex-boss to call him back on an interesting case of the "Painter" - a spree killer on the loose haunting the city marred with bloodshed as of late, he meets Nakahara Chuuya, a journalist from the newspaper company he so arduously despises on the first day of his investigation.
And thus, begans a journey of nightmarish foils, hopeless love, horror, grief, tragedy and acceptance.
