Summary
The Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity house—affectionately known to brothers and friends as Deke—was a boring three-story reddish brown brick building, narrow but deep, that would be nearly indistinguishable from Delta Tau Delta next door were it not for the lettered flags hanging out front. Shane jogged up the eight stairs onto the porch and let himself inside. As a senior and elected President of the Tau Alpha chapter of Deke, Shane had been granted his own room in the far corner of the top floor, furthest away from the front door and main living spaces.
He climbed the stairs two at a time to the third floor, ignoring the way his thighs screamed in protest at the repeated overexertion they’d been subjected to in the last eight hours. You’d think he’d have gotten used to this particular combination of hockey and fucking by now, but apparently that was not the case.OR, Shane Hollander, intramural hockey captain, fraternity president, and bad liar extraordinaire, takes on his senior year of university. He has a wild card up his sleeve... Too bad he's been showing his hand for years, though.

Shane pulled away, grinning to himself, and took his seat across the table. When he was settled, he looked back up to Ilya and had to bite back a laugh.
His content little smile was long gone, replaced with shock and displeasure. He stared stupidly at Shane, mouth opening and closing like a fish as he struggled to get words out. “Shane, you— I— what?”Shane cocked his head sideways in that way Ilya always did when he was being particularly difficult. “What?” he asked. “Is there something on my face?”
His husband continued gaping at him. He could almost see the little hamster wheel spinning in Ilya’s brain as he tried to come up with words. Finally, almost a full minute later, he managed, “No, there is nothing on your face!”

He choked on a gasp at the sound of his mother’s voice. “Oh my god. Oh my god. Goodbye. Can we pretend you didn’t hear any of that? Oh god. Bye!” He hung up and dropped his face in his hands. His face felt hot, his cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

Suddenly, Ilya is laying down with him, sandwiching Shane between the couch and his body in a weird, half-stacked spoon. Ilya’s head blocks out most of the remaining light that was making its way to Shane, and it’s much quieter too.
He’s not quite sure how much time passes like that, with the comforting weight of his husband on him, and the peaceful silence of the house. Eventually, the fog in his head clears, and he manages to whisper, “Better. Thank you.”

“Alright, fine,” Katelyn sighed. “I’m just saying, since you guys are identical twins,” she said, nodding toward Aaron and Andrew across the island, “genetically speaking, Josie is just as much my and Andrew’s daughter as she is my and Aaron’s.” Katelyn pressed her lips together and wrinkled her nose.
No one spoke for a minute as they considered her statement. Andrew was the first to process. His expression cycled through a wide range of emotions, starting with alarm and ending with something vaguely resembling nausea. Neil’s initial confusion quickly turned to hysterical glee as he watched Andrew’s reaction. Aaron’s face went through a similar journey as his brother’s before it settled on a somewhat constipated expression. His ears turned pink and he stared at his wife in disbelief.
