Summary
One chapter a day for DenNor Week 2020 (11 to 17 May), run by @Pixetalia on Tumblr
"You. My morning call. My first kiss. My comfort. My hygge. My fairytale prince. My fellow seafarer. My... friend. Idiot, you should know that I feel as much, perhaps even more, for you than you might ever feel for me. I just cannot bring myself to tell. Not yet. When the right time comes I will find the courage to let you in again, and until the day comes...
"Wait for me."

Summary
“You named yourself Lien, after a lotus. A flower that should emerge from the swamps but remain pure. A beauty to be observed from afar, but never to be roughly treated. Yet, look at you and your beastly women, thinking yourself budding flowers! I can only laugh!”
“... I can say the same to you, Yao. You do shine like celestial bodies, being so full of greed that you stench of gold. Glorious of you to slaughter my men and force their wives and daughters into taking up arms! And to think your people were chivalrous!”
It was China’s turn to be irked. However, his men called as he was about to do so, and he turned to leave in a rage. Vietnam then decided to rid her body of the blood and soil in a nearby stream. Unwavering hazel eyes and a gentle, tanned complexion emerged from the crystalline water, surrounded by moonbeams that waltzed on its serene surface.
A lotus flower, she thought at the sight: petals pristine in spite of dirt and grime, her stem staunch amid tempest and war, wherever the tides of history might carry her.

Summary
Written for LietPol Secret Santa Exchange 2019.

Summary
“Ber, do you think it is a sin to love?”
“Of course not, Mette. Why would you say that? Isn’t love the greatest thing a person could ever receive, or ever give? After all, it is only by love that you can understand your conscience, and God–”
“But God lied. He lay down all these rules to be followed, but they have only caused wars and destruction. He told us to love and forgive, but He took the lead in judging and killed the innocent indiscriminately. He said to love one another, but people who pursue love end up getting hurt, imprisoned, stoned, burned… like Antonio and Lo–”
“They deserved it. It’s abnormal. It’s wrong.”
“What is? Love? Them? Aren’t we all the same? They’re just like you and me, no?”
“Yes. But, no. Because it’s against nature–”
“And what about your ‘wife’?”
**************
In which a mismatched couple married only to avoid social stigma, both in mourning and trapped in an unrequited love, learn to tolerate each other, forgive, and move on.

Summary
"All this time Emil had not ceased writing, his fingers still dancing to the rain’s splatter. Yet, watching the stranger before him, and thinking back to the two men in the rain’s embrace, something struck his mind. An understanding. Perhaps, not everyone loved the rain like he did, and that’s alright. Even among those who did, each might have their own interpretation of it. Rain was something to be shared by everybody, and like stories, each person was entitled to their own retelling."
In which four idiots discover each other, and themselves, in the rain. Originally written for a competition.
