He's looking up after his performance, and there’s a man staring from behind a faraway column, unblinking.
Till's hands are frozen over the keys, waiting for a scolding. Or a fucking blink, maybe, whichever comes first. But the man is wearing a light blue apron and black tie. Part of the waiting staff, then. There’s a tray tucked under his arm, too, so he’s probably supposed to be working, but he’s just… Standing there. Just looking at him.
(Till’s a pianist in a too-fancy hotel lounge. Ivan is a very dedicated fan.)

Here it comes, Till thinks. He waits for the smug “Well, Till, all you had to do was ask,” or “does my wittle Tilly-boy want to sleep with hyungie?” comment. Oh, Till can hear it already. Ivan’s opening his mouth to say something. He needs to think of a comeback, quick.
“Okay,” Ivan says.
Okay? That’s it? Till drops the futon, mouth open.
Ivan starts acting suspiciously normal after he and Till start dating. Till does not take it well.

Summary
Practice resumes. Till alternates between watching clouds of his own breath and clouds of cherry flavour vapour pour out from between his cold lips. His arms continue to tremble in the cold, despite the added protection of Ivan’s jacket. He adds another tally to Ivan’s successful pass record, and watches him bend over to set another play. He can see the outline of Ivan’s jockstrap, curving above either thick side of his glutes.
Briefly, he wonders what that jockstrap might taste like.
A few members of the football team try to attack Till, disgusted by his attraction to their captain, Ivan. Their captain, repays that concern in kind.
