Summary
Haechan had grown so deeply intertwined with Mark that the question of eternal companionship felt less of a suggestion and more of an inevitability. It was only right for it to happen. It was bound to.
Or,
Mark and Haechan make a marriage pact one unceremonious night. It shifts the tide of their friendship forever.

Summary
Sometimes, with a push of a shoulder, a tug of a sleeve, Donghyuck wishes he could go back—go back to the times when the lines of their friendship were defined and well-guarded, when he didn’t have to think about the meaning behind each word, each glance, each touch that they shared. Because back then, all of those meant nothing at all. They’d laugh, cry, hug, and smile the way friends often do, friends and friends only. There was a clear distinction.
All push, no pull.
6 months, 26 weeks, 182 days: all that time spent rubbing the line of their quintessential friendship, coloring an image that passed beyond the edges of the page.

Summary
And then Mark takes his left hand and starts weaving the tips of his fingers through Haechan’s hair. He laughs to himself because it isn’t soft and fluffy: it’s brittle, crunchy, a little electric to the touch, and yet it’s real.
It’s real and it’s Haechan—it’s Donghyuck, the boy he fell in love with all those years ago, the boy he’s never stopped loving since.
Or,
Journey Mercies, as written by Mark.

Summary
Neil closes his eyes.
He falls asleep for a while. Todd could feel the gradual limpness of Neil’s body against him, how he goes soft and almost malleable in just a few minutes. Sometimes he shifts against Todd’s shoulder, and he thinks it must strain him a little. After all, Todd’s not all soft and easy. He’s sharp corners and jagged edges all over, and at some point it must get tiring to stay close to someone like that for long.

Summary
To Todd, the world has gone to a complete standstill. There they were, Neil and Todd, Todd and Neil, standing against the gentle glow of their dorm window, curtains drawn like how, even for just a second, Todd feels like he’s peeled back the many layers of himself and presented to Neil the person he is at his very core: minus the trivialities, minus the falsehoods.
Or,
Todd snatches Neil's script for A Midsummer Night's Dream, recites the lines together with Neil, and realizes the many desires in his heart he cannot go so far as to foster.

Summary
He slings an arm around Todd’s shoulders and says, “This is my best friend Todd,” and it makes a twinge of something wretched and hopeful and desperately happy unfurl in his chest, to hear Neil call him his best friend like it’s something etched firmly into the fabric of the cosmos, a truth so known and acknowledged and undisputed that it becomes fact. Fire burns hot, the sun rises in the east, and Todd is Neil Perry’s best friend.

Summary
There is no peace, not with Alhaitham sitting at the table in the kitchen as he usually does. Like their routine will continue as normal.
Normal is Kaveh tugging at Alhaitham’s bed hair as he passes by. It’s filling a mug with already-brewed coffee, dropping into the vacant chair, peering over at whatever document or paper Alhaitham is reading and helping himself to its contents. It’s rubbing sleep-sand from his eyes. It’s Alhaitham swiping a stray drop of milk from his cheek as Kaveh’s face burns. It’s the late-morning light holding the day in languid suspension for them to keep together.
Like normal is attainable. Like normal is everything they could ever ask for.

Summary
“Todd. Todd, I can't see the moon!”
“It's snowing, of course you can't.”
Neil stares out of the window, chewing the inner side of his cheek like he's contemplating something. Anything. Everything.
“It's still there, though, is it?”
or
Neil and Todd spend some alone time in the snow. They talk about poetry, love, and the world. The end product is quite astounding.

Summary
Alhaitham doesn’t know why he can’t shut it out—he’s heard it all before, doesn’t care to indulge. But with Kaveh it’s like the penultimate chapter of a story, the hushed moment before the dramatic curtain opens and the final act is revealed. Simply put, Alhaitham needs more.
So he blocks out the nose of distraction everywhere else: the Akademiya, the city streets, even his own mind when necessary. But not Kaveh. Never Kaveh.
♬
Kaveh's started singing around the house. Secretly, Alhaitham is listening.

Summary
“Kaveh,” Alhaitham calls softly. “Are you trying to stall your time sitting here? On my lap?”
“Yes.”
Usually, Kaveh will try to find some sort of excuse to attempt to save his pride. But at this moment, he seems really dedicated to staying seated right where he is now.
“There’s no need for you to,” Alhaitham whispers. He tightens his grip on Kaveh, hugging him closer. “What if I want you to stay?”
Kaveh really likes to sit on Alhaitham's lap and Alhaitham is a weak, weak man whenever he does.
