Shadow Milk, for his part, is thrown by his counterpart suddenly flipping the script and trying to woo him.

Summary
Something huge now stood directly in front of him, blocking any hope of escape.
He cast his gaze up, and up, and up.
Before him was easily the largest spider he had ever seen, each of its eight legs twice the length of his body and just as thick. Its abdomen was swollen and heavy, resting lightly on the cave floor—no doubt filled with eggs, just like the spiders that covered the walls.
And, where the thorax and head of the spider would normally be, was what appeared to be the top half of a human– though there were some features that were– off. Its eyes were closed, giant fangs bulging and visible even through the skin around his mouth. It had a mop of soft-looking blond hair, and the smooth, tanned skin of its bare chest contrasted prettily against the dark blue and gold of the rest of its body.
By all accounts, it was a very handsome-looking spider.

Summary
He wasn't used to being so thoroughly…wooed.
Especially by a creature four times his size that could easily snap his neck before he could even blink.
But he felt, confusingly, that he could trust Pure Vanilla to not do so; though, that was aided, admittedly, by the fact that he was currently carrying the spider's children.
To think he could truly "trust" anyone, though— now that was laughable.
