“I know I’m a bit rusty.” Wilson forgoes the shirt and sits down next to House, his own game console in hand. “But this isn’t how my hookups used to go.”
House shrugs. “Sex is boring.”

Summary
Their first stop after leaving New Jersey was NYC. After that was a tour through Connecticut, which wasn't awfully interesting, and then (after briefly passing through Massachusetts) New Hampshire. They had stuck around there for a little while, camping in the White Mountain National Forest. House wasn't sure to begin with whether Wilson would be interested in that sort of thing in his final months (the NYC trip had led him to believe he was feeling tourist-y) but he seemed happier there than he had been since leaving. House guessed it reminded him of their trip from years before - surrounded by the sound and sight and scent of the Earth, alone save for that one friend.

Summary
The change in House is noticeable the second he steps out of Mayfield. For starters, he looks different. The haircut is new, of course, but that’s not all. He looks… Serene. Content. Like he’s fully present for the first time in 15 years. Wilson’s overcome with so much pride he nearly wants to cry.
He clears his throat instead. “You look good.” He offers.
And then, to his enormous surprise, House hugs him. A hug. Wilson doesn’t remember the last time they hugged. Maybe at his last wedding? Or was it the one before that? It takes Wilson a moment to get over the shock, but after a few seconds he stiffly hugs back.
