There are more things one can learn in Italy than cooking - so Kaoru follows Kojiro as they study abroad, each doing their own things while still living in each other's pockets. It's perfect.
Except winter comes rolling, and a snowstorm makes their little pocket of comfort a bit more restrictive as they can't leave. For days. And there are leaks in their tiny freezing apartment, because of course there are.
