Truly, he had never thought he’d get to experience this. The sheer domesticity of it, someone who not only put up with his frankly off putting behavior but who actively broke through it, and not just to boast about it to whatever stupid person would listen. Someone who wanted to do it. Wanted him. Someone who could see both sides of him and love him anyway, in spite of one or the other, the ice of The Ghost and every issue tangled within him the rare times he let himself be Simon.
He never even thought he could want anyone back, nevermind two people. But he wanted, needed, even. Wholly and selfishly, and it was even scarier of letting himself be wanted, sometimes. He wasn't used to having soft spots when it came to people, not anymore, even when he tried everyday to ease that side of himself.
However, as he watched Roach step out of the bathroom and into their room, hair wet and swathes of skin completely exposed and entirely comfortable with having Ghost’s eyes all over him, he thought that maybe wanting wasn’t such a bad thing after all.
