Summary
Every summer, on the 10th of July, they return to the same place by the Black Sea — a month-long world that exists outside of time, where nine children grow up together and everything that matters happens.
Across ten summers, friendships fracture and reform, secrets take root, and first loves leave marks that never quite fade. Gyuvin and Ricky are drawn to each other from the beginning, their love shaped by desire, guilt, mental illness, and the fear of wanting something forbidden. Around them, others orbit: slow-burn longing, quiet grief, reckless escapes, and the fragile safety of a found family that can’t protect everyone forever.

Summary
Nine university students somehow become each other's home. Between chaotic dance classes, cramped apartments and way too many emotional outbursts, three (or maybe even more) very different love stories come to life.
Each chapter follows a different pair- the people they love, the things they're running from, and how they find their way to each other.
It can be read as one-shots, but the friendship dynamics will make more sense if read all together.

Just then, a donation comes through with a message that repeats out loud, “What is your biggest stress reliever?”
Like clockwork, Hao and Hanbin share the same, dirty-minded look with a matching smirk that eventually calms into a grin. Hanbin’s hands squeeze where they’re planted at Hao’s waist, revelling in his flustered expression. “The biggest and my favourite…” Hanbin whispers as a secret.
“Stop, we can’t say that on stream.” Hao attempts to drop the topic, but Hanbin isn’t following.
Hanbin hums, smug and deep, “Well, we can’t say what it is, not on stream.” He says, eyes raking over Hao’s entire figure, “But I think they understand anyway. We’re not exactly subtle, are we, gege?”

Hao falls asleep with his head on Hanbin's shoulder.
Soon, the sun will rise. And when it rises, they will keep their promise. They will pretend. But in the quiet hours preceding dawn, when Hanbin wakes from sleep once again to Hao's warm breath caressing his neck, he imagines that they don't have to.
In some universe far away from here, the two of them were born loved. Hao was created free to find his happiness. Hanbin was created free to watch.

No words will ever be enough you have to read it for yourself. It makes me feel things I had no idea existed and connects with my soul on a level I didn't even know was there before reading this. A must read for anyone who actually wants something of quality. It bends the English language and gives new meaning to words, a deeper one. It will haunt you, it will never leave your side once you devout yourself to this story.

there’s something viscerally disconcerting about being in a place he knows he’s not welcome. being back in his hometown, being around kim gyuvin pushes him constantly to crossroads. in the wake of his family’s deaths, as he grapples with his resentment over the circumstances that forced them apart years ago, ricky faces the dilemma of embracing his cardinal sin, or leaving old wounds behind.

“You’re terrible,” he says, running a hand over his eyes before sitting back up, Gyuvin looking all too happy with himself at his discomfort.
“And you must be a precedent,” he says, lowering his glasses flirtatiously. “Because you are setting the standard.”
And it’s so stupid and cheesy and overly cartoonish, but Ricky can’t help but be more than a little flattered by that one. Not that he’d tell Gyuvin that, a little afraid of how much worse the boy could get if he encouraged him.
“How do I make it stop,” he whines instead, dropping his head with a thud against the table.
“Go out with me.”In which transfer student Ricky notices Gyuvin for the first time when he's studying next to him in the library, unable to focus because of just how loud Gyuvin's typing his paper.
Except the moment he turns to acknowledge the stranger, he's hit with the most embarrassing pick up lines known to man.

“Break up vacation. C’mon, baby,” Ricky had simpered in that horribly annoying tone of his. “You deserve to let off some steam after losing the dead weight, and I need a tan and someone to keep me company.”
“You’re paying,” Gyuvin said, giving into the firm press of Ricky’s thumbs working against his traps.
“Of course. Daddy always takes care of you.”
Ricky got hit after that, but they also booked their vacation. A full week, right after Christmas. New Years on a beach instead of knee deep in snow, Gyuvin could never say no to that. He can never say no to Ricky, period.
(OR: Gyuvin goes on vacation and all he gets is gayer (and heatstroke!))
