Summary
It's been two days since Starcourt and Steve Harrington is a mess. He's bruised and beaten, concussed and hurting beyond belief. No longer living with his parents, Steve can't rely on their money to get medical help... so he looks for the next best thing. He's known Eddie Munson for a while, been buying drugs off him since Junior year. Now he needs something a lot stronger than weed.
Eddie comes through on the painkillers, but his reaction to finding Steve such a mess is a surprise. When it's clear Steve has no one else (at least, no one he's willing to burden), Eddie takes it upon himself to stay and help. But the drugs only ease Steve's pain so much, and it's not long before he's looking for comfort in more than just the pills Eddie's brought him.
Eddie was worried about Steve forming a habit, with the drugs. Neither of them expected Eddie to be the thing Steve gets hooked on.

Summary
Steve moves with intention, mindful and easy as he measures out four different liquids, a bottle of rum acting as an extension of his own arm. Nothing he does feels forced or hesitant and as Eddie watches Steve twirl a bottle of something and catch it with a grin, he can’t stop thinking about how he wants to know what those hands feel like elsewhere. Are they as confident with a lover as they are behind a bar?
Eddie’s wires get crossed and he pictures himself behind the bar with Steve, his knees sore from the hardwood but it doesn’t matter because he’s got what the can only imagine is a heavy cock on his tongue and Steve’s fingers threaded through his hair—
“Voila! Cable Car!” Steve announces, the sound of the rounded coupe glass settling on the bar in front of him pulling him back to his much less fun reality.
--
Or, Eddie gets stood up and he's going to be grateful for it for the rest of his life. Eventually.Bookmarked by secondconcussion

Summary
Wayne repays his debts. Never missed a payment, never been late in his life. So when Hopper calls up out of the blue with a favor?
Well, he’s built up quite the debt for getting Eddie out of trouble.
He just didn’t expect payment in the form of babysitting one Steve Harrington, battered, bloody and hunted after the mall fire.
So long a he can keep everyone safe—Steve (from the people hunting him), Eddie (from himself), and his own damn self (from a house full of teenagers), he can keep his perfect record as a man who repays his debts.
