It was the first thing Riki screamed when he spotted Sunghoon's arm casually resting around Jaeyun's shoulders. The four friends—him, Jaeyun, Jay, and Heeseung were just studying in the university's library before Riki came over to their table, making a huge ruckus. The librarian glared at Riki, and the younger boy cowered, taking a seat with a flush on his cheeks. "How did this happen?" he demanded.
"His big wet eyes and loser boy personality has bewitched me," Jaeyun answered honestly.

“Wait,” Jaeyun said abruptly as Sunghoon took his glasses off. It’s pathetic, really, how fast Sunghoon stopped in his tracks.
Oh god, this was probably where Jaeyun was starting to regret everything. He probably didn’t want to have sex with a loser like Sunghoon; who plays League of Legends on the weekends with his only two friends. Who wears a necktie and slacks to a frat party of all things. Or worse…what if he saw Sunghoon sticking his tongue out at Riki earlier like a fucking child—
“Keep the glasses on,” he explained, gently guiding the black-rimmed glasses back to Sunghoon’s face, and, oh. That’s not what Sunghoon was expecting at all, actually. “They make you look so much sexier.”

Summary
This was nothing like the same fifteen-year old who had confessed to Jake recklessly in high school. He was wearing an entirely black outfit, a blazer with sleek pants. The pendant on his silver necklace caught the light as he hugged Jay and Heeseung. Jake recalled the shaggy brown hair from a few years ago, now it was replaced by fully black hair, cut at the sides. His smile was small and yet, it still exuded maturity as he took a seat next to Sunghoon. Then, they were making eye contact and—oh. Jake was staring.
"Jake hyung," Riki nodded in acknowledgement, and holy shit, when did his voice get so fucking deep? "It's been a while."
"Yeah—" Jake cleared his throat as his voice unexpectedly cracked. He could have sworn Jay was snickering at his inner turmoil, but both Sunghoon and Riki were staring at him in confusion and Jake needed to hurry up and fucking say something. "It has. You look great, Riki-san."

Summary
There’s a moment, a brief, terrifying moment, where Sunghoon is just hovering over Jake, looking down at him with a small smile on his face, and he’s actually a little concerned that he really is going to kiss him. And then the moment passes, and Jake feels – weird. That familiar, aimless fear settles over him again, but despite it, a small part of him kind of wishes Sunghoon had accepted his offer. Now, he’ll always be curious about what would have happened if he did.
But in the end, he just does what he always does, and shoves it down to the depths of his subconscious, where there was too much pressure for anything to breathe, to survive.
He doesn’t actually want to kiss Sunghoon, he knows that. Jake has no problems with Sunghoon being gay, but he isn’t gay. He’s probably just feeling a little weird, a little scared, and it’s probably just because of the slight distance he’s been feeling between them lately. Jake has acted much stranger over much less, after all.
