“So… not him, then,” Mike murmured to himself, thoughtful.
He let his gaze drift back to the blond. The guy was looking towards Will again. Wait, no. He was staring at Mike and Will’s feet, tangled together beneath the table. The boy looked up, caught Mike’s eyes for a fleeting moment, then blinked and looked away, shoulders slumping slightly.
Mike couldn’t help the little surge of smug satisfaction - and relief. He shoved it aside and turned back to Will.
Will smiled across the table at him and squeezed Mike’s ankle again.
“No,” Will said softly. “Not him.”

Post-Vecna. Mike Wheeler is determind to be a good friend. So he tries to help Will find a boyfriend.
This goes terribly wrong when Mike realises he wants to be the boyfriend.

Summary
The first real challenge of the day pretending to be Jane didn’t come until third period Biology, which she shared with Max. Will knew they had the class together, but of course he still jumped when she plopped down beside him at the lab table.
“Dude,” she said without preamble, “your brother is acting weird.”
And of course, Will was so caught off guard in the moment that, “Jonathan?” slipped out of his mouth before he could think better of it, and. Okay. That wasn’t technically wrong to say, necessarily, but it was definitely a weird jump for Jane to make, especially considering Jon didn’t even live in the state anymore.
Max gave him a weird look. “What? No, I mean Will. Did you hit your head too, what’s wrong with you two?”

In which Jane convinces Will they need to switch bodies for a day, Will has a bad time, and Mike is just really fucking confused.
