“Don't,” Will warns, his voice trembling. “He’s good to me. He doesn't look at me like I’m broken, Mike. He doesn't look at me and see a monster or a victim. He just sees me.” Will huffs as he wipes a tear from his cheek.
“And that’s enough for you?” Mike’s voice drops to a whisper, his eyes glassy and fierce. “Just being ‘seen’ by some stranger who doesn't know a thing about you? He doesn't know what you’ve been through. He doesn't know what it’s like to lose everything. He just sees the version of you that’s easy to love,” Mike bites out, angry and vengeful.
Will flinches as if Mike had slapped him. The anger drains out of him, replaced by a raw, aching hurt. “Fuck you, Mike. Maybe I want to be easy to love. Did you ever think of that? Maybe I’m tired of being difficult.”Or, A year after the party goes their separate ways, Mike visits Will, only to find he's moved on.

Summary
In-ho bends over Gi-hun, dismayed with his revenge intentions and conflicting feelings. In-ho gives him the most understanding and gentle look of Young-il, which hasn't worked for a long time. It's just a matter of habit.
“Gi-hun, let's switch teams,” he suggests cautiously. “You're not a murderer at all, I'm afraid you might... lose.”
Gi-hun frowns and looks away to hide from Young-il’s pleading, almost begging eyes. He's not ready to give in.
“I can handle it,” his tone is sharp and unambiguous, leaving no room for argument. In-ho looks him up and down and nods, admitting defeat.
“If you're sure, then fine,” he says. “Let's stick together, I'll help you with your opponent, and you protect me.”
An AU which explores a possible development of the events of s3, if In-ho decides to stay after Gi-hun's revolt. In other words, In-ho and Gi-hun play hide and seek together.

Summary
Some time during the night, In-ho awoke. He didn’t feel rested at all, only a deep exhaustion creeping in his spine and body like persistent pain that would not go away. Groggily, he rolled on his back from where he’d been laying on his side, and saw Gi-hun standing above him.
Seong Gi-hun, in his finalist suit and having ditched the jacket, as In-ho had seen him before his death. As In-ho had seen him and Gi-hun had met his gaze through the camera, as he watched Gi-hun’s mind and heart race. As Hwang In-ho had been a silent observer and witness to Seong Gi-hun’s final moments.
He'd come to In-ho as he’d been before his death.
In-ho felt his mouth go dry. He wanted to call out Gi-hun’s name, he wanted to reach up to him, he wanted to believe everything that transpired over the past six months had been a nightmare and he’d somehow broken off from his paralyzed state and saved Gi-hun. If not, he wanted to believe this was a beautiful dream, one where Gi-hun forgave him.

Due to a twist on the last tower, Gi-hun survives the fall. The speaker still announces the disqualification of Player 456, though.
When In-ho enters the arena to say his final goodbye, he notices that Gi-hun is still breathing. After hearing Gi-hun’s final words, he no longer cares about the Games. The only thing that matters now is saving him and that’s exactly what he does.
A few weeks later, Gi-hun wakes up in a hospital with no memory. He can't even remember his own name. Once his condition improves and most of his injuries are healed, he gets released and In-ho secretly starts to follow him. Until one day, Gi-hun recognizes him. Not as the Frontman, but as Young-il, the kind man he once promised a bottle of soju to, after being saved. And In-ho decides to go along with it… and slowly begins to build a relationship with him.
But what will happen when Gi-hun starts to remember who Young-il really is?
