They should be glorious Umamusume, strongest of the generation of ‘99. As they’ve lived a virtuous life, they should stand proud, with no regrets, and no guilt.
Admire Vega and T.M. Opera O are ordinary, useless people. They tepidly hurt each other, and revel in hurt’s ecstasy. They would love nothing more than to bask in daydreams constructed of regrets, guilt, and quixotic glory.
When a daydream goes on for long enough, it can only become a beautiful reality.
(Careers both over, the two meet up on occasion to get away from their lives, and do whatever it is they do to forget. The more they do, the deeper Ayabe falls into Opera O's hall of mirrors, and old memories start to show.)

His hand rises from Digital’s shoulder to the side of her face, Digital nearly faints. Opera’s legs part further to let Digitan between them. Digital can’t help but notice he’s still shaking.
“Go on,” He presents himself to Digital, who stares in excitement, mouth watering at the masterwork bestowed upon her. “Indulge.”

But there was one uma who caught her interest, and Ayabe wanted to figure her out.
TM Opera O had always wanted to race, and she is able to pursue her dreams when she begins attending Tracen Academy. But things do not come without resistance. She is aware of the way others look at her, the things they say, and how many keep their distance. But there was still an uma that helped to fill the loneliness, yet she hesitates to reach beyond that.

She hummed a song that Opera couldn’t recognize as she prepared a bag on an IV pole. His pulse quickened slightly – unable to separate fear from excitement. Opera instinctively searched for the vein running down his arm all the way to his wrist, the sensitive skin itching to be pierced.
His heart skipped a beat when Tachyon turned around to face him with the needle end of the IV tubing pinched between two fingers, her other hand wheeling the pole to stand guard beside Opera.
