Summary
Modern cultivator, Wei Wuxian, dies in a train crash and is sent back in time to the period of Ancient China he had been writing his thesis on - transmigrated into his own body as a child, dying on the streets of Yiling. He has no money, no family, but a knowledge of modern cultivation and of the historical events that are about to unfold.
He recalls the recently-unearthed journal of a woman who was imprisoned in Cloud Recesses against her will, and decides that she’s a good place to start to find someone who might be willing to help him dismantle the corruption that had sent the Cultivation World into the Dark Ages so long ago.
Of course, he had no idea that the person he sought would be the mother of Hanguang-Jun, the object of Wei Wuxian's fascination (“obsession,” his friend had corrected), since he had first learned of his existence in the ancient texts he'd studied.

Seonghyeon stands there, eyes glossy and his mouth pulled into a bitter line. “Could you cut it out with the small-talk and just fuck me already?”
Martin swallows around nothing and pushes himself upright in the hopes that Seonghyeon didn’t notice his unflattering, double-chin inducing position. “What?”
Seonghyeon rolls his eyes. “I’m tired of this little game we’ve got going on. It’s ridiculous.”

“That toothbrush. It’s mine, put it down—”
Martin holds it up, turning it in the light. “This grey thing?” He raises one eyebrow. “Kind of boring, no offense.”
“I don’t fucking care if it’s boring, it’s mine and it’s not going in your mouth—” Seonghyeon’s voice cracks somewhere in the middle of that sentence. Quite the predicament: torn between fury and the urgent need to keep the curtain fully closed around himself, soap threatening to drip into his eyes.
Martin grins, the corners of his mouth quirking up, and, maintaining eye contact, pops the toothbrush directly into his mouth.
“Oh my god.” Seonghyeon’s face switches between several stages of horror. “Oh my god, you did not—that is so disgusting, I use that on my teeth, Martin—”
“Mm,” Martin hums around it, already working it back and forth.

Summary
Would he be considered down bad as fuck if he said the smile that instantly appeared on Keonho’s face was worth the cold Martin would have to deal with the following morning? So much for not getting sick when they had a hectic week of schedules ahead of them. But hey, at least his maknae was happy. That was part of being a good leader, right?
