The sky, which had been a dull grey just moments ago, was now dominated by a massive, dark cloud.
"H-Holy shit..." Katsuki muttered, his wide eyes reflecting the horror before him. For a moment, time seemed to stand still.
Beside him, Kirishima's face had gone pale, his thumb raised instinctively toward the window, to see how big the cloud was. "That's... that's just smoke, right? From... a fire or something...?" he stammered, his voice trembling with fear.
Katsuki wanted to say yes. But he couldn't tear his eyes away from the window, couldn't ignore the gnawing feeling in his gut.
War never changes. Thats what they say.
" But it was not, as some had predicted, the end of the world. Instead, the apocalypse was simply the prologue to another bloody chapter of human history. For man had succeeded in destroying the world - but war, war never changes. "
Japan was peaceful, until bombs dropped all over the world. Everyone that wasnt lucky enough to land in UA's vaults, were forced to survive in the wastelands all alone.
But what does humanity do when faced with "disadvantages"? They adapt.

Bakugou snorts, a low chuckle escaping his lips. “That’s morbid,” he says, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. “But I’ll give it a shot.”

His second near death experience was the next day, when his mom found out.

Katsuki sank deeper into his seat, trying to ignore the conversation. He pressed his face against the cool surface of his desk, the chill calming his nerves slightly. ‘Maybe if it started late, I could get to bed before it hit.’ He didn’t need everyone seeing him jump out of his skin at every crack of thunder.
“Maybe in a couple of hours? Might cut all the power too,” Kaminari answered, his voice brimming with enthusiasm.
Katsuki’s stomach twisted. ‘Great. Not only is it going to start while I’m stuck here, but it’s going to cut the power too?’ His breath hitched slightly at the thought of being plunged into darkness with nothing but the roar of the storm to keep him company. He gritted his teeth, willing his anxiety to subside, but the thought of losing control in front of everyone made his heart pound harder.

Gradually, the atmosphere in the room shifted. The children’s shouts grew less frequent, their taunts quieter. The relentless insults and degradation lessened as Katsuki’s voice became a powerful tool for commanding respect. The room, once a place of relentless cruelty, began to shift in tone. The other children, intimidated by his newfound assertiveness and the fierceness of his will, began to back off.”
