But, if there was one thing Joshua Hong was not, it was a quitter. So when the RF Buxton returned to Home Space in two months time, Joshua and his team would be held as heros for their excellent work in the expansion of the galaxy and the wonderful discovery of a new planet. Until then, Joshua would wash his face and pull on his lab coat and go about his business just like everyone else would.
Of course, that was before the incident, and the extraordinary fallout that followed, but forgive him, he was a different man before that.

Joshua hadn't had a hair-cut in months. His hair, naturally a deep brown, curled down his neck, sat on his head in thick, soft waves. He flicked it out of his eyes when he cooked; he ran his fingers through the unfamiliar length more often than usual; he pushed his sunglasses up to catch it and pin it back in an infuriating model-esque ease. Jihoon simply couldn't live like this anymore. Joshua was going to kill him if he wasn't apprehended.

Ah. Alright. Jaehyun understands now. These “Paranormal Society” clowns get a free vacation every week of the year where they hunt for an obviously fake monster, and even in the unlikely event that wendigos do turn out to be real - which they aren’t - they’d actually kill them, thereby vindicating all members of the Society of all accountability. Incredible. Taeyong could quite possibly be running the most ingenious scam of all time. Jaehyun almost finds it genuinely impressive.
But Jaehyun looks up into Taeyong’s honey-brown eyes and oh god, he genuinely believes this doesn’t he, he actually thinks that there’s cannibalistic monsters who lives next to the lake and eats people for breakfast.
“I’d love if you’d come with,” Taeyong says, looking up.
Jaehyun instructs his fluttering heart to shut the fuck up and die.

The Doctor laughs softly. “I do, it’s Johnny. Do you?”
He frowns, taken aback. “Of course I don’t.”
The Doctor, Johnny, kneels before him, cupping his face with both hands, starting the examination. He squints his eyes, as if trying to read something scribbled with poor writing on his patient’s face.
“Mhmm,” Johnny hums. “Unit KN010196I,” he reads the invisible words aloud. “I think I’m gonna call you Kun.”
And then Johnny snaps his patient’s neck.
