When an estranged friend offers him a place to stay, Jean soon realises that his new home is haunted by a demonic secret. Under the thin veneer of civility lies fear, violence and treachery, and it threatens to boil over unless Jean and the others can unmask the murderers in their midst. Still, as a Defect, he’s worth more dead than alive. The threat of invasion is looming on the horizon. A single misplaced lie could unravel the well-laid plans of his fellow townspeople.
