Ajax removes his hands from his thighs, Zhongli finally feeling relief from the strong hold. Instead, Ajax moves to intertwine his fingers with Zhongli's, and lock it with the same grip.

Inspired by fanart.
It is good to be back home, Childe thought to himself. So he stretches, takes in the cold air, and makes his way back home. There, he meets his family and eats dinner with them, telling all kinds of stories about Liyue.
In the evening, Childe notices the book package that Zhongli gave. There are four books tied neatly with a ribbon, it seems that Zhongli gave him the entire series. He takes a quick look, scanning through the paces. He sees that the story seems easy to read so far, and decides to read a volume to Teucer every night.
AU: Childe doesn't know that Zhongli is Rex Lapis yet. They've met already and now Childe is called back to Snezhnaya for a meeting. Before Childe left, Zhongli gave Childe a copy of Rex Incognito.

“Wait, you are saying. Joker can insta-kill literally everything in this palace. WITHOUT using SP at all?!” Ryuji clarified in astonishment because there is no way there isn’t a catch to this. “Without repercussion?!”
“Yes. That is exactly what I’m saying.”
Or the NG+ au where Akira knows more than he lets on, the Phantom Thieves start to suspect one of their own, and Akechi is in for a wild ride.

Summary
Despite everything, Akira Kurusu cannot keep himself from meeting with Goro Akechi, even if he has to do it behind the Thieves' backs. On paper, their fates are destined to oppose each other... but Akira has no intention of betraying his team OR of abandoning Akechi. When you come to love so many people, you grow compelled to fight for them, despite all odds.
A look at the events of the game if only Akira had reached out to Akechi, just a bit more, in spite of the Phantom Thieves.
