Summary
Merlin had failed. Despite all his efforts, Arthur had ended up dead in his arms on the shores of Avalon, so close to salvation. Ignoring Kilgharrah’s protests about the impossibility of what he aimed to do, Merlin let all his power loose, becoming one with the fabric of the world and the magic he was born of. After following the bond he shared with Arthur through the winding paths of time, he finally emerged a decade into the past, having successfully seized a second chance to get this whole destiny thing right. Eddie shifts his weight a few times. “What does that mean?”
This could go a lot of ways. If this is Buckley, and Eddie’s pretty sure it is, it could lead to him hanging this over his head, trying to get sex out of it, and honestly – Eddie’s slept with people for less. And Eddie could do, has done, a lot worse.
He would hate being strong-armed into sex, but he’s been strong-armed into it before, and this guy, well, it’s not like he hasn’t thought about it.
“Um,” is all the answer Eddie gets.
And then there’s this meandering, endless pause, where the guy stands there and just… stares at him. Eddie can’t decide if it’s awkward or if they are slipping back into creepy. “What’s with the staring?”
“Sorry!” Sleeves immediately jerks his eyes away, then scratches the back of his head before he looks back at Eddie and snaps away again. “It’s just – uh, it’s weird, seeing you, um, without the…”
Eddie raises an eyebrow. “Handcuffs?”

Eddie works at a strip club, and Buck's a very frequent customer.

Summary
If he wasn’t going to meet Evan, he wasn’t ready to meet anyone else either. He felt broken, not the kind of broken he was used to, the kind that came from war, from being a father separated by distance or from waking up to find his wife gone in the middle of the night. This was different.
He felt heartbroken.
Not because he thought Evan was the one.
He didn’t.
It wasn’t even really about Evan. It was the weight of what this had meant to Eddie, how much courage it had taken to put himself out there, to let someone see a version of him he hadn’t even fully accepted yet. He thought Evan would understand that, that he felt it in the honesty of the messages Eddie had sent him. Eddie had opened up to him in a way he hadn’t with anyone else, exposing pieces of himself he had kept buried for years.
And it still didn’t matter.
Evan disappeared and Eddie was left with the aching silence.
Or; Eddie moves to LA with the hopes of exploring his deepest secret and as a result, ends up believing he knows Buck before he starts at the 118.
