However, his attempt at prevalence is postponed when he learns he has not one, but two older twin brothers, and now Asher's not only dealing with the aftereffects and the outcome of his own grisly dark past, but also with the task of meeting and understanding Andrew and Aaron Minyard and their own family, the Palmetto State Foxes.

Summary
This place will never, ever, get better and things will never be alright.
But — but. Andrew hates himself for the but. The last time he had anything aside from his own spine to hold himself up, Andrew had ran his body raggedy trying to keep it. He doesn’t know at which point he became a creature of habit; he doesn’t know why he’d put himself through this again. He doesn’t know why he’d handle Neil the knife and tell him just where to cut, but he did and he has and he will continue to do so until it kills him or Andrew kills it first.
Alternatively: The Foxes in hindsight, through Andrew's perspective.

Summary
In the months before Tilda's death, Andrew and Aaron try to learn how to care about each other -- aka twinyards bonding as only twinyards can (badly).
or three times andrew tried to be a good brother and one time aaron finally got it.
“I’m just calling to ask if you’d leave the door unlocked,” Aaron ground out.
“And if I don’t?”
“I’ll climb in through the laundry room window like I usually do,” Aaron said, tired. -

Summary
The point is, he doesn’t like to do his things behind Andrew’s back, his twin brother has got some issues with trust, promises and shit, but he can’t just walk on him with a battered face and hope for the best, now, can he?
Andrew is a fucking psycho. It wouldn’t do any good to his threadbare mental stability to see him with a black eye, a split lip and a long scratch running down the whole length of his right cheek, from under the eye to the chin. Hence the secrecy. Nothing personal. Just a precautionary safety measure because, fuck, Andrew is already troubled, he wouldn’t be happy if he landed in a much higher pile of shit for attempted murder. Or just murder.Aaron gets the shit beaten out of him because of a debt. Andrew, of course, won't let it happen a second time.

Summary
Neil opened the blister pack and shook out a pill, placing it under his tongue to let it dissolve. The unpleasant taste coated the back of his throat, and Neil accepted the water bottle Wymack handed him next to wash it out.
“Tetsuji called,” he said. A peace offering as he wiped his mouth with the back of his hand.
Wymack’s face set into a frown. “When?”
“This morning." The grin he gave was habit rather than a side effect, bitter and defeated. "The Ravens are coming south.”
Wymack went still, and then cursed, a show of weakness no coach worth his paycheck would allow.
“There goes the championship.”
“Like you ever had a shot at it. The Foxes are the worst team in the nation.”
Neil expected anger for being out of line, but Wymack only side-eyed him.
“I’ve got a piece of paper that says you’re a Fox," he said, like it was a rebuttal, rather than proof of how far Neil had fallen. "What does that make you?”
"Delusional,” Neil replied with a pointed shake of his pills.
