Jaehyun laughs, rolling his eyes. ”I know. That’s why I made that promise back then, dummy. Obviously I considered what it would be like to marry you.”
Sungho’s breath hitches just slightly, but he hides it by forcing a laugh out of his throat, ignoring the way his chest pressed a little tighter and how his heart hammered against his ribs like it was about to reach past every bone just to grab on Jaehyun and tell him why didn’t you? Why didn’t you marry me then?

“Don’t do that, Woonhak-ah.” Jaehyun’s voice is muffled, already sniffling while tears stained his pillow. “Don’t make hyung seem like a sore loser and cry in front of his dongsaeng.”
Woonhak furrows his eyebrows, looking at Jaehyun’s odd position. “Yah, what are you even saying?” He murmurs, shifting closer towards him and tugging on his shirt to try and make him meet his gaze.

Jaehyun turns to him. “I’m not good at letting go.”
Taesan isn’t the boy he remembers anymore—he’s much more taller than him now, face sharper, eyes steadier. But the softness was still there, he could recognize it. The same vulnerability—the warmth. The piece of home that Jaehyun never replaced.
Taesan lets out a breath—somewhere between a laugh and something close to hurt. “You’re so stupid.” But Jaehyun smiles, soft and dizzy.
or: taesan encounters jaehyun at a party after years of no contact. he figures he still hasn’t changed at all—but so did his feelings.

Taesan doesn’t like touch too much.
He doesn’t like deliberate, consistent contact with people. Skin-on-skin, lips brushing against each other, feeling the texture of someone’s clothes at the back of his hand. It all discomforts him, always has. There is no reason for it–not that he can infer–and most of the time, he isn’t bothered by it, either.
But he likes Jaehyun alot. Loves him.
And Jaehyun loves touch.

Let’s take off the Taesan-colored glasses and reevaluate the current information— Woonhak is a computer science major who is constantly sociable, on top of his academics, has good fashion sense, confident, charming, hot, and can also play the drums. Taesan is many things but most of all he’s someone with high standards.
And underneath that goofy exterior, of course he knows his Woonhak is probably the most popular guy in his year— he wouldn’t expect anything less.
It’s just that Taesan is also someone who hasn’t ever learned to like sharing.
