But when he receives a phone call that his grandmother has fallen ill, he's faced with the choice of introducing Noya to his less than welcoming family or not seeing his grandmother again.

Summary
His smile is so simple. Just a hook of his lips, a crooked line. In any other circumstance it would look almost rakish, would captivate, would inspire.
Asahi sees it and can only sense the mountain of hidden pain behind it. He suddenly wants very much to reach out and take Nishinoya’s hand, to reassure him, to tell him it will all get better and he’ll regain what he lost.
But that’s just another cruelty.
