There are two long texts from Jesse’s mom from last night, giving her review of the book she’d gifted her for her last birthday; one from Jesse from an hour ago, asking about her hours on Thursday; a missed call from Mel at some ungodly hour, probably to drunkenly gab about her deadbeat boyfriend; but still nothing from any unknown number.
Nothing from Ellie.

“You know…” says the woman lightly, swirling her drink, “usually when someone buys you a drink, the typical response is ‘thank you.’” She keeps her eyes off of Ellie, a half-smile brewing on perfect lips. A tease. Bait.
“Oh,” Ellie says intelligently, before clearing their throat, “Right, uh. Th-Thank you.” And then, “S-Sorry.”
“I’ll forgive you, but just this once.” The woman turns to them then, smiling fully and brightly. Ellie smiles back, practically against their own will. “I saw you from across the bar. You looked like you could use some company.”
“Am I that obvious?” Ellie asks sheepishly.
“Only a little,” the woman says with a little shrug and wrinkle in her nose that suggests to Ellie that’s not quite true.

After a long and exhausting work week, Ellie gets dragged to the dyke bar by Cat, and goes home with a girl that buys her drink.

This has done the trick before -- the whole get-up and show of skin. Dina just by herself drives Ellie crazy. Hell, she could wear the most disgusting coveralls and smell like horse shit and Ellie would still be all over her. But when she poises herself like something straight out of a pin-up -- showcases herself like a trophy, as if Ellie hadn’t already whole the damn prize -- it sends her into such a hungry, ravenous state that Dina can’t help but try to bring it out of her again -- and again -- and again.
Needless to say, Ellie was speechless.
But not only that; she was furious.

A series of short smutfics involving EllieDina in their mid-20s, in a modern AU, where they meet in a dyke bar and spend a memorable night together, and exploring where their relationship goes after that.
Ellie - 26, butch nonbinary lesbian, uses they/them and she/her pronouns pretty interchangeably; matured past her canon 19 y/o self but still antisocial and awkward as hell; works as a ranchhand on Joel's ranch.
Dina - 25, cis bi, uses she/her (these things may change, I haven't decided); still exploring her sexuality; mom to JJ, co-parents with Jesse; works as a waitress at a dingy diner.
Fic titles are all based on R&B and/or hip hop songs. They just matched the vibe better.

“Shut up,” Caitlyn grumbled with an eye roll.
“Make me,” Vi hummed, knowing she was pressing all the right buttons. “Unless you think you could beat me right now.”
All Caitlyn had to do was move an inch forward to capture Vi’s lips, but her competitiveness got the best of her. First, she’d kick Vi’s ass and then kiss her senseless. “You want to spar right now?”
“Mhm,” Vi’s nose brushed against hers. “Unless you’re too afraid to lose.”
Before their lips could even ghost against each other, Caitlyn placed a hand against Vi’s chest, her fingertips dancing on her skin. “Don’t you dare hold back then.”
She could feel Vi leaning in, trying to kiss her, causing Caitlyn to push the knight back playfully. It was a teasing move, even denying herself of what she wanted. But the look on Vi’s face was priceless.
Vi fell back onto her elbows, staring up at the princess, desire written in her eyes, as Caitlyn stood and unsheathed her sword, pressing the blade gently against Vi’s chest.
“Take this off,” Caitlyn ordered, gently dragging the blade over the fabric of Vi’s tunic.
