They move and shift until Olruggio is able to lean back against the pool’s edge, with Qifrey tucked between his legs. To be surrounded by him like this, his arms folded across Qifrey’s chest and his legs bracketing Qifrey’s hips, is a feeling unlike anything else. There’s a sense of safety and comfort in the embrace of a lover, who, without speaking, manages to convey a single message: I’m here and I love you, I’m not going anywhere else.

Summary
Moonlight settles across the high points of his face, drapes itself along his shoulders, and kisses the slope of his nose. Despite the darkness, Iwaizumi is able to see all of him so vividly. The length of his lashes and the fullness of his lips, the slight curl of his hair where it sticks to his cheeks. A little bit of starlight is trapped within his irises and part of him wants to take a closer look at it.
It’s not until Oikawa’s eyes find his own that he feels a strange tingle somewhere in his chest, as though he’d been caught looking at something he shouldn’t.
or: after experiencing some hardships, iwaizumi and oikawa spend some time at a lake house.

And yet she felt a sharp tug between her ribs whenever the words ‘Adina’s daughter’ fell from someone’s lips. Back then, she refrained from commenting on it — she did not bother to correct them. They would learn her name soon enough, when she’d don her own uniform and cap.

Summary
This is when Oikawa turns towards him, facing Iwaizumi fully. One of his legs is slightly folded and tucked against his front, with both of his hands resting atop of his thigh. His eyes roam across Iwaizumi’s face as though he’s searching for something; subjecting Iwaizumi to that familiar scrutinizing gaze that often leaves him feeling strangely exposed. “You practice,” he says matter-of-factly. “With me.”
Iwaizumi can feel the exact moment his brain decides to short-circuit.
